About VMCY
More Than a Youth Group
A Vietnamese-American Catholic youth community helping young people grow in faith, identity, friendship, and service.
How VMCY Began
VMCY was founded by a small group of Vietnamese-American families who wanted their children to grow up knowing both their Catholic faith and their Vietnamese heritage. What began as a Sunday catechism class grew into a full youth ministry with retreats, service projects, and a community that spans generations.
Today, VMCY gathers hundreds of young people each year for events that form the whole person — spiritually, culturally, and as members of the broader Church.

A Witness That Guides Us
VMCY takes its name from the 117 Vietnamese Martyrs, whose courage and faith continue to inspire Vietnamese Catholics around the world. Their witness reminds us to remain faithful, serve others, and live with conviction even when doing so is difficult.
